I can only speak for my village .... I think here they still in about 1860? You know ..... braces holding trousers up to their nipples, or bib-fronts, trouser cuffs midcalf then hairy legs to short socks and sturdy workboots - Mullet hairstyles - twirly wirly moustaches twice as wide as their faces........ Some of the women even still wear Traditional Swiss Costume..........At festive occasions they sit on long benches, raise their beer mugs and sway side to side singing drinking songs.....
