If you met somebody in RL and on the first date she says, "Well I want marriage...." You'd be leaning back in your chair a little wouldn't you? It's the same with the profile, just a bit full on.

I had a first date like that rolling on the floor laughing at the beginning of the date he told me he is falling in love with me, and by the end of it he told me he wants to take me to be his wife dropping jaw It just doesn't sound right confused grin

Quite so...but at the same time, if that is what your desire is, why not state it in your profile??...."MARRIAGE".....then all of us guys know exactly what you're looking for.....sometimes simple and direct is better than obtuse, oblique and opaque....I respect totally a profile that states that the owner is looking for marriage. Bang...on the table...nothing to hide. I like that....honesty is refreshing...we all only have 5 minutes of fame...can't muck about, ya know...

But it conveys that it has to be asap.
Long term, when you have a certain age is equal to marriage. It gives room for realxing in knowing each other. If i was so bang when i met two guys from CS, i can imagine how strict must those who are looking for marriage be.dunno
It's like: Marriage or nothing.
When those people are trying to know each other, must be very stressful and less spontaneous, the clock and the note books are there...i thinkwave

I am not insulting honestangel ..maybe it's the pose. But it's very good, really.

I agree it's their choice. Each to their own, just think you are more likely to find the right person closer to home. Someone connected in RL rather than in cyber space. I'm sure it happens and anybody who has found the right person I wish them all teddy bear and hope there dreams come true.

Like I said it's a stupid question...

I don't know why so many women put looking for marriage in their profiles. Maybe it is because of the selections available. Would it help if there was a selection for "looking for friendship and we'll see what happens from there"?

If you meet someone here and click right from the start, that doesn't mean that you're looking at wedding vows?? Of course it doesn't. There are to many other factors involved.

Help me out here, am I naive on this. That is why I usually don't pay attention to that line and usually just go based on the actual write up.

confused

Why not?

Most women get married at some time in their life!

Maybe it's to scare a lot of men off and to hide the fact that they might like sexual intercourse outside of marriage........... you know that women still like to think that they have a reputation and won't sleep with just any old Tom, Dick or Phoenix!

Women like to be thought of 'sexy' but not 'easy'

Men like to think of themselves as 'easy' and 'successful' - it's totally morally wrong but a man who has lots of girlfriends is often thought of as 'lucky' instead of 'sad' by his so-called friends.

A woman cannot put on her profile 'looking for lots of casual sex' if she wants to meet the sort of man she would like to spend the rest of her life with - no man wants to go out with a 'slut' even if he is a bit of a 'slut' himself.

We men have double standards - we prefer almost virginal women, and allow women to have had one or two sexual partners in the past because the only reason they have had another man is that they hadn't met YOU before......... so you can kinda forgive them!

Ok - a woman will put 'looking for marriage' to give the impression she is a sincere, nice woman who won't jump into bed with just anybody - whether she will or not is for you to find out!

Stupid question

Hi, good morning.

Thanks Phoenix for the chance of saying what I think about the CS and marriage issues here.

I have 2 months on the site. From the first day I received a lot of e mails asking for - more photos - more photos - like here is a model agency or worse...
At the begining, stupid me, I sent some to some guys who looked serious. After a while, they all dissapeared without a word. I strongly believe they all collect pictures to masturbate, they are freaks and regarding the Phoenix question:

WE all have to write in our profiles the truth about our intentions. What to hide, why to run across the tail?

For example:

There are a lot of guys here for fun, sex, whatever.

Write in your bloody profile: I want to have sex on a window, I want to fly, I want to save money from psychoterapy....

Stop writing bullshit like almost all write: I am kind, honest, looking for an open (sorry, legs) woman.

And we women the same: I want to marry, I want to have 100 children, I want you to pay all of my bills....rolling on the floor laughing sticking out tongue rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Sorry for being so cruel, is Phoenix' fault.

Oh, I liked what Lagoona said about love and getting older. Nice, it's true.moping moping
