Why not?

Most women get married at some time in their life!

Maybe it's to scare a lot of men off and to hide the fact that they might like sexual intercourse outside of marriage........... you know that women still like to think that they have a reputation and won't sleep with just any old Tom, Dick or Phoenix!

Women like to be thought of 'sexy' but not 'easy'

Men like to think of themselves as 'easy' and 'successful' - it's totally morally wrong but a man who has lots of girlfriends is often thought of as 'lucky' instead of 'sad' by his so-called friends.

A woman cannot put on her profile 'looking for lots of casual sex' if she wants to meet the sort of man she would like to spend the rest of her life with - no man wants to go out with a 'slut' even if he is a bit of a 'slut' himself.

We men have double standards - we prefer almost virginal women, and allow women to have had one or two sexual partners in the past because the only reason they have had another man is that they hadn't met YOU before......... so you can kinda forgive them

Ok - a woman will put 'looking for marriage' to give the impression she is a sincere, nice woman who won't jump into bed with just anybody - whether she will or not is for you to find out!

But that man a beer...here's to you

I totally 100% agree with the double standards. If a man sleeps with 100 women he is a stud. If a woman sleeps with 100 men she is called a slapper..Wrong. They both enjoy 'casual sex'.

Look, Mr. Phoenix, everybody (almost) likes to have sex but some people want MORE than sex!

This is all the great philosophy inside your question.

Baby, you've got an obsession. I played in the high school volleyball team, long time ago.
I used to be good, even if I am short.

Why do you ask?

Because the many women on this site are here because it is a site for single people, and sincere honest women are probably seeking to settle down with a long-term partner?

Otherwise, to just don a mini and high-heels and go out on the streets they can pick up plenty of casual one-nighters - huh? So whats wrong with a woman stating that she is looking for a committed relationship?... That is to ward off the flip-flap-web-cam-chatty-waste-of-time- types.......sad flower

here's to you

That was elegant, I really liked that.

The word "shifty" is often regarded in a negative way by us foreigners to English language. We do lack a little of the understanding for possible variations contained within some words. I dictionary would not help here dunno

Point taken and understood..

In the North of Ireland we sometimes have different definations of English words...eg, I would say "I'm going for a poke". To most people that is something sexual. In most of the North of Ireland the words ice-cream cone is subtistuted for 'going for a poke' . We don't go for walks. We go for danders. All Irish generally ask 'what's/how's the craic?'. Say that in ear shout of a coplaugh.

If there is any misunderstading of what I say, I'll do my best to translate at the same time..innocent

cheers

Now that is a good question....

Gongman has in my view hit the nail on the head...

Although, the Americans spent millions on developing that pen...

And the Russians took a pencil...
